About the author Hamed Ghasemieh

Hamed Ghasemieh is a Data Scientist at Qualogy. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Twente, with a research focus on stochastic model checking. He also recently obtained, in parallel to his PhD work, a second Master's degree in Applied Mathematics. Prior to academia, Hamed was involved in several industrial machine vision projects. Amongst others, he designed an image-based vehicle speed detection system that is now widely used on the streets of Iran. Hamed has a passion for complex, challenging puzzles, and in particular for finding hidden patterns in (big) data. He has also been an active member of the Toastmasters International Club, a group of enthusiasts who love to practice public speaking.
