Apex world 2016: networks, partnerships and learning
Published on: Author: Milou Reumer Category: NewsAPEX World 2016 in Rotterdam, the biggest annual APEX event in the Benelux, is behind us. Qualogy had its own stand at the expo on March 7 and 8. Keep reading to find out what we did.
APEX World is an absolute must for all IT companies. You go to absorb the fascinating content, to meet developers and techies and to exchange ideas, expand networks and forge new partnerships. This was an extremely useful visit for us. And it's always fun to catch up with current and former colleagues!
A full punch card?
It was extremely busy at the Qualogy stand. The event organizers came up with a new concept this year: a punch card contest. All visitors were given a punch card, which they presented at each stand they visited. A full card gave them the chance to win fun prizes. It was also a great conversation starter: "You're not just stopping by to get a full card, are you?"
Working at Qualogy
Fortunately, plenty of visitors were genuinely interested in hearing what we had to say. Most of these visitors were developers, which led to interesting conversations. Some were particularly interested in what it's like to work at Qualogy. Who knows, this may have been the start of a long-term collaboration!
APEX 5.1
We learned a lot at APEX World. For two days, we listened to interesting speakers and attended technical sessions. We also learned more about the upcoming release of APEX 5.1. And it sounds promising: several functions will be improved and the new Interactive Grid will be more dynamic, making APEX even easier to use. Oracle has yet to reveal an official launch date.
There was so much to see and do during APEX World, that two days simply weren't enough. We would have like to see much more. Better luck next year!
