Qualogy and SEP deliver renewed ENSIA tool to Dutch municipalities

In 2020, the Association of Dutch Municipalities saw that the existing ENSIA tool left room for improvement. Qualogy and SEP joined forces to make this happen. The renewed tool was launched and first used on 5 July 2021. The renewed tool is even more user friendly than the previous one and ties in perfectly with the practical needs of municipalities. Qualogy and SEP are proud of this unique collaboration.

ENSIA is short for Uniform Norm Single Information Audit (Eenduidige Normatiek Single Information Audit in Dutch) and is an initiative of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment.

Authorities can use the new ENSIA tool to check if they meet the requirements for information security and account for this. The procedures are carried out across various frameworks of standards such as DigiD, the Personal Records Database (BRP), and the Baseline Information Security Government (BIO).

Innovative collaboration Qualogy and SEP

A European call for tenders was put out to further develop and realize improvement opportunities for usability and management options, amongst other things. The tender was awarded to Qualogy Applications and SEP at the end of 2020.

Qualogy – being an IT service provider with great Oracle and Java expertise – focused on the technical development of the application. SEP is an eLearning specialist for local authorities and very experienced in standards like BIO, ENSIA, and other government related frameworks.

Support by Qualogy Caribbean

The development, testing, and management of the tool is carried out by Qualogy Caribbean, a Qualogy office in Suriname. Qualogy professionals in Suriname speak the same language, are comfortable with Dutch (business) culture and work according to the highest (European) quality standards.

Results

The newest ENSIA solution is even more user-friendly and intuitive than the previous one. In addition, the tool is equipped with the latest technologies. The fact that users can configurate the tool without supplier intervention is a great asset as well. Qualogy remains responsible for monitoring the application, which is carried out by the second level control team in Suriname.
